BACKGROUND - The Drawing Gallery was opened in 2004 by Yvonne Crossley as the only private gallery in the UK to focus entirely upon exhibiting and selling contemporary drawing. After four successful years in Central London, the gallery relocated to much larger premises at Walford on the Herefordshire/Shropshire boarder 8 miles west of Ludlow (A4113).
The Drawing Gallery showcases the work of some 45 contemporary British artists including those of international standing, established names within the British art world and others of growing reputation. Included in the gallery’s client range are several major museums and international corporations, individual established collectors as well as those very new to buying.
A programme of curated solo and mixed exhibitions run each year (please check dates & times). In addition the gallery holds an extensive and changing collection of contemporary British drawing at affordable prices. The gallery operates a staged payment plan and can offer helpful and well-informed advice about buying contemporary art works. All visitors to the gallery are most welcome.
