Michael Ginsborg studied at Ealing School of Art (1964-65), Central School of Art and Design, London (1965-68) and Chelsea School of Art (1968-69). He has exhibited his work internationally and has undertaken ambitious large scale commissioned work. Solo shows of his work have been held at the Lisson Gallery, London and the Serpentine Gallery, London. He was an award winner in the Cleveland International Drawing Biennale (1975), was awarded the Mark Rothko memorial Award for Travel in the USA (1978) and won a gold medal for painting at the Florence Biennale (1997).
His work is held in both public and private collections worldwide including the National Gallery of Art, Budapest, The British Council, the Government Art Collection, the Arts Council of England, BP plc, The Cocoa Company and Glaxo Wellcome plc.
